Landon & Kasey Take Budapest: Part 1

Last week, our favorite newly engaged couple came to visit! Landon & Kasey chose to spend their spring break, one of the few breaks they get from work and school, with US! Boy, were we excited to see them and introduce them to their nephew! 

On the l-o-n-g plane ride to our side of the world...

They arrived in the mid afternoon on Friday, so there was still plenty of daylight left to go on a walk. Even though Matt hates this bear suit, Gideon is absolutely adorable (and warm!) in it! I almost hesitate to let him carry G around in it with all of the women who stop to swoon over Gideon!

We spent the next day showing L & K around the city.

Grabbing some quick lunch at one of the coolest McDonald's in the city. No, we don't usually eat McDonald's, but it's a cool atmosphere. The restaurant is in an old train station designed by Eiffel... yeah, the guy who designed the Eiffel Tower.

And what was Gideon doing during all of our site seeing?

Landon and Kasey loved playing with Gideon! They were such a great help, always eager to feed, change, put to sleep, and entertain him! Landon tried to convince him to root for the Cardinals...not sure it'll work with a Braves fan for a dad though :)

Kasey made the trek to the grocery store with me one day. Having her there was such a big help! 

She fought with the cart the entire time. They seem to have minds of their own around here :)

Chocolate bar anyone? Seriously, this stuff is amazing.

Nap time around the flat...Kasey was Gideon's new nap time buddy. I still can't believe he slept like this!

We spent most nights cooking or ordering take out, watching movies, playing spades, loving on G, and talking. I'm so thankful for the time we were able to spend with them...and that's only part 1! More pics to come!
