I know this is a few weeks late, but...We're Back! Back in MS, that is. We left Budapest on July 11th. Our adventure home began quite early with me up around 2:30am to get ready and do a little last minute packing. We left the flat around 4:00am, having waited until the very last minute to wake Gideon up and load him in the car. Our flight headed out around 6:15am and we were officially on our way! We hit a minor speed bump when we arrived at the airport only to find that instead of the three seats we'd been promised, we in fact had only TWO. Repeat: TWO seats for the entire travel from Budapest, through Amsterdam, to Memphis. 1 1/2 hours flight to Amsterdam + 5 hour layover + 10 hour flight to Memphis - All holding G in our laps. After hearing this, we just decided that we could do anything for a day and went into survival mode. All in all, Gideon did great. He slept a little, ate well, and played a lot.

What a joy it was when we landed in Memphis! Sweet southern accents and the scent of the world's best bar-b-que welcomed us. We'd done it! We were finally home! Our friends and family were at the airport to greet us, and we all headed out to the Brewer's for an amazing dinner!

We are incredibly thankful for our friends and family who have made the transition smooth for all three of us. You guys are amazing!
