Wow, this month has flown by! Where to begin?!
With school back in session, I decided to give the Brewer Academy a go. G is only 2 1/2, so we're doing basic preschool stuff. I thought a letter a week would be a good method for our first time around. We just finished up our 'A' week, including all sorts of alligator activities, studying the story of Adam & Eve, checking out lots of Alphabet books, singing A songs, and memorizing our 'A' verse (still working on the verse, but the week's not over yet, right?!)! G seems to enjoy the challenge of new activities, so the first week went pretty well!
Found an awesome site with a Bible story for each letter of the alphabet, complete with tons of activities here.
This is another great site for themed units for each letter! (Thank you, Pinterest!)
Maggie also had puppies! G & C fell in love with them! (No, we did not bring one home! We already have enough mouths to feed & potty training to do! Lol!)
Sweet C helped me gather tomatoes from the garden...
We joined our friends Pam & TA for an evening ride to feed the cows and horses. Seriously, so fun!
Matt and I also took G to his very first movie in a theatre, Airplanes in 3-D! We went with some of our friends who also took their boys! Watching him on the edge of his seat with those little glasses on was the most adorable thing I've ever seen! The best part was whenever the characters broke out in song, G would hand me his popcorn, stand up and say, "It's time to stand up and sing!" :)
Our TC Moms group had a fun water day for our August meeting! The kiddos splashed until they could splash no more,...or it until was time for naps :) I had a great time chatting with all of the mommas there too!
Hot wheels! That's right! G got a big boy bike with some serious training wheels! He's still getting the hang of peddling, but he seems to be having a blast figuring it out!
We go to the library every week for story time and to check out books. We stumbled upon this gem last week...G & C both loved it so much that we literally read it at least twice a day for a solid week. By the time we had to return it, he was reading it to us!
C has become quite the book worm lately, as well!
And...Well, I had to throw this one in because it's just stinkin' cute. Gotta love that blonde haired, blue eyed, bed head in the morning!
