Park Hoppin'

You might have gathered from previous posts, that we practically live at the park during the summer time...let's face it- all year long. Our kiddos just love it. I have to admit, we went to local parks nearly every day while Matt was in Honduras! Here's a look at the past month and our little park hoppers themselves...

Here's one from one of an overnight visit to Mimi & Papas house while Matt was away...this kid adores fishing!
After a fun afternoon of fishing, we ate dinner and curled up on the couch for a fun movie night with the kids! The Jungle Book is Gideon's new favorite movie! G & C both had a blast dancing around the living room singing "The Bear Necessities"! In the morning, we packed our suits and sack lunches and headed to a splash pad! Mimi is the best! While playing, Gideon asked,"Mimi, will you come with me?" and she ran through every sprinkler at the park with these kids! When's the last time your mother-in-law did that?!

Once Matt got back in town, he took a comp day to spend some time with the fam and guess where we went...you got it! The park!
Last week was grandparents day, so we headed north to hang out at the kitchen with Mimi and take her to lunch. By the time we left, the kiddos had successfully tossed potatoes all over the kitchen, stowed measuring cups and loads of utensils away in their play house made from a huge box, and eaten half a box of vanilla wafers that were supposed to be used for banana pudding! It's always fun in the kitchen!
Friday morning brought an impromptu donut shop stop and tree climbing lessons at a local park.
As you can see, Charlotte scarfed hers down! Matt tried his hardest to show G how to climb trees, but G was not interested...the kid started crying. Charlotte, on the other hand whined until we put her in the tree! She loved it!

The kids are at such fun ages right now. Matt and I literally chat at least once a day about how adorable, smart, funny, sassy, etc. they are! Looking forward to all of the memories that are yet to be made with these tots!
