Charlotte's second birthday party (pics in next post!) was in mid-May, but we celebrated her actual birthday (May 4th) with a fun family trip to the zoo. She opened a few gifts that morning as well. Charlotte received an adorable kid-sized chef's hat, apron, and cooking utensils, the book On the Night You Were Born, some fun jewelry, and a zoo membership! We had the most amazing weather that day. We had just had our last cold snap of the season and it felt great outside! The kids always love Cat Country and the Aquarium, but they especially enjoyed getting to ride the train around the farm animals exhibit this time. We even got to see trainers feed the polar bear while we were there. Such a fun day with the family!
This last picture was taken on Charlotte's birthday just before we went to church. She's so precious! We truly couldn't be more thankful for her sweet smile, compassionate heart, and utter fearlessness! We can't wait to see how the Lord continues to mold her over the years!
