The Gideon Show

As I started uploading some of our recent pics, I realized, yet again, how much our lives revolve around Gideon. I might as well call this blog "The Gideon Show" on which I occasionally make appearances. Since the last post, we've had some much needed warmer weather. Now, when I say "warmer" I mean mid forties, maybe skimming fifty. But, hey, we'll take what we can get around here! 

With the lovely change in weather, we loaded Gideon up and headed out to the Mangalica Festival, aka the Hairy Pig Festival. That's right. A whole festival devoted to the consumption of the many variations of preparation of this pork. These pigs are actually the cutest pigs I've seen because they look like a cross between a pig and a sheep, having long curly hair. 

Anyway, here we are headed to the festival...

These were taken in the park outside our apartment building...

Gideon is now just over 11 weeks old and weighs a whopping 11 lbs! That's still quite a bit under for his age, but he's doing great! I still can't believe how quickly he's growing! He's smiling at us and laughing all the time now. He is more and more fun to play with each day. What a good sleeper too! We usually feed him for the last time around 11:00 and have him down by midnight, but he'll sleep until around 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning! What a blessing to get such a long stretch of uninterrupted sleep! He's also outgrowing some of his clothes and is starting to wear a few of his three month outfits. For some reason, a lot of them have monkeys on them...Super cute!

I love the look in this one..."Why does this monkey have his arm around me?!"
