For Christmas this year, we loaded down the X-Terra and hit the road! That's right, we drove all the way to south Florida with two little ones! Were we crazy?! We'd soon see! We had only been to visit my parents once since we moved back from Budapest, so it was definitely time for us to make the trip. After roughly 17 hours behind the wheel, one awesome hotwire hotel room find, tons of snacks, 2 dvds, and one time zone change...we made it to my parents' house in Port Charlotte! To our surprise, the kids did really well!! Gideon read books, played with toys, slept and snacked happily, while Charlotte did a lot of snoozing and chewing on toys. Even though they were amazing, we were all ready to pile out of the car by the time we arrived!
Here are a few pics from our sunshine state Christmas:
On Christmas Eve, Pop took Matt and G out fishing! They had a blast and even saw some dolphins!
Gideon checking out Nana & Pop's tree before bedtime...
It sure was nice waking up to this on Christmas morning, knowing that everyone back home had snow and ice!

Opening presents!
G loves this new camera! He runs around snapping pictures, then he reviews them saying, "That's a good one!" & "Cool picture!"
C loves this cute toy too...
...especially chewing on it :)
We had yummy homemade scones for breakfast and then walked to the neighborhood playground. On the way, we actually saw a huge alligator in the grass and then saw this sign...Yikes!
We spent the rest of the afternoon goofing off in the pool...
What a memorable Christmas with my parents! More pics of the Brewer's Christmas Vacation to come!
