One of our favorite things about December was looking forward to a visit from Mimi & Papa! We had the most fun keeping this a secret from the kids. Though Matt and I both nearly spilled the beans several times, the kids had no clue! On the day of their arrival, we told the kids that a surprise would be coming that day, but they were expecting the mail man with a package :) When Mimi & Papa finally arrived, we had them sit on their beds with their eyes closed and told them we'd bring the surprise to them. They were utterly shocked when they heard Mimi & Papa's voices saying, "SURPRISE!" We were all so excited to see them and show them our new home! Mimi had brought a huge bag with goodies to be opened daily, along with a slew of Christmas presents. Our days were full of reading books, making cookies, playing games, legos, finding new bookstores, a chilly trip to the park, going to the Children's Museum, making crafts, late night stories, and showing Mimi and Papa around Indy. We had a blast! It was so hard to see them go, but we are grateful that we were able to see them and we look forward to making a trip down south to visit soon!
