Last weekend, Matt and I took a little trip to Visegrad, a city about an hour north of Budapest. Matt and I have been camping in a huge national park just outside of this city several times. Upon one of his solo camping trips, Matt stumbled upon this castle! It was built in the mid 1200's and a lot of it is still standing. The weather on Saturday was perfect for an afternoon venture to the castle, so off we went...
Horse ride anyone?

The view of the Duna from the castle...
My man :)
We also stopped by a little festival held in our district that day. Hungarians love their festivals. We've been to tons since we've been here, but this was probably the smallest. They had booths of candy, handmade soaps, carved wooden products, and jewelry. Just wanted to show you guys the church in the middle of the square where the festival was held. Gotta love old architecture.
On another note, we had our first official church meeting at the Forum Sunday night! Matt kicked off our study of Hebrews with an intro to the book and group discussion. We are so excited that we are part of this church plant and can't wait to see how God uses this group of believers to reach this city. Please pray that God would continue to give our leadership team wisdom and direction, as well as confidence and perseverance when under the attack of the enemy.
Have a great week!!

Amazing pictures! What an incredible place you live in!
