Bon Voyage & Playtime @ the Park!

This week, Matt and I had to say 'goodbye' to our sweet friend Shanna. We've worked together for almost two years now, and have developed a great friendship. We're so thankful for her and the memories we made together in Budapest. We got the gang together to send her off right with a delicious dinner at Angelo's Cafe, followed by dessert at Charlotte Confectionary. YUM!

Gideon has been growing like a weed lately. He's reaching out and grabbing everything he can get his hands on! His feet have proven to be quite the novelty to him :) He's also more and more observant every day, noticing details and responding to our friends' voices. He can almost sit up on his own and wants to stand up all the time.
Here are a few pics of him at 19 weeks...Love the Beatles shirt and gray cords!

The weather has been so enjoyable lately, with highs in the mid 70's! Hating to waste such wonderful weather, our baby club decided to head outdoors! We met in the park last week, and the babies (& mommas) enjoyed some much needed fresh air.
Gideon is 20 weeks in these pics...

Thursday afternoon in the park by our flat. Just the two of us...

This week, the Forum hosted a conference for Upstream Collective and Michael Frost (author). Matt stayed busy attending the sessions and making sure the crew had everything they needed. Gideon and I had a lot of alone time, but enjoyed getting out and enjoying the sun. We had the Lord's Supper at the church at the Forum Thursday night, where we meditated on what took place the night before Jesus was crucified. I'm so thankful for this ultimate sacrifice, and excited to be able to celebrate not just a death, but a resurrection. We're looking forward to celebrating our Risen Savior with our church body tonight.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
