Last week was jam packed! Let's see...
Monday, we dropped Gideon off at the grandparents' house after Matt got off of work.
Tuesday morning, Matt, Charlotte & I worked the Lifepoint booth at the Tate County Health Fair trying to promote the Family Fun Run 5K we're hosting to raise money for missions. After lunch, the three of us loaded up and headed to St. Louis! Matt is exploring different opportunities for local missions for our church, and St. Louis is the perfect place! We got to our hotel just in time to meet up with one of my best friends, Haley, for dinner.
Wednesday, we were up bright and early for a day full of meetings with local church planters. Matt's day was literally scheduled down to the minute from 9:00-4:30. I had the opportunity to join him for the first half of the day, and it is abundantly clear that the Lord is working in and around St. Louis! We met some great guys and I can't wait to see how God uses the partnerships that are formed in the coming months! After the meetings, we walked around downtown and got an even closer look at the Arch! There was no better way to end a great day than with great food and even better friends! We met up with Haley and her husband Matthew for dinner at this amazing gourmet burger joint downtown called Bailey's Range. I had a 'Sweet Hot' which is a super sweet lamb burger with a kick! Everything is locally grown or homemade! Y-U-M!!
Thursday, we headed out early to run a few errands and then headed back to Memphis. We joined the Brewers for dinner and headed home with G around 8:30 that night. Boy, were we glad to see our little man!
Friday was laundry day for me and hunting prep day for the boys...I'm sure you know bow season opens tomorrow morning :)
Saturday, all four of us headed down to Oxford for a consignment sale. Matt took G & C to a local park, while I checked out the deals. We ended the afternoon with grocery shopping and more laundry. Matt was able to get a little target practice in before dinner too.
Whew! What a week!
-Walking around downtown...Our hotel was right next to the Arch!
G had a blast with Mimi & Papa! Mimi even took him to the Zoo!
Can't help but smile when I see this cutie with his new hat & giraffe :)
Checking out the elephants!
G & Bebob (great-grandfather) were inseparable!
Helping Daddy get ready for bow season ...
I am more than a little embarrassed....I saw your blog on a friend's site. I would love to follow you but somehow it seems bad considering the lovely neighbors we have been!! Again, I am ashamed. I know you have made it home by now. But I had so many plans to welcome y'all to the neighborhood and welcome sweet Charlotte who is no longer new :) and for Gaines to play with Gideon. Needless to say, excuses and life's hiccups along the way overcame my plans. So welcome and May I follow your blog? :) Hope to see y'all outside soon!
