Jam Packed July!

I'm ridiculously behind with posts, so this one will be an entire month's worth of summer fun! July started with Gideon's first trip to the fireworks stand and a cookout at Mimi & Papa's with everyone. The kids were pumped to shoot fireworks, though they liked to watch from the safety of the golf cart :)

Next up... our buddy Paxon's birthday party! We hadn't seen Paxon or his family in nearly a year, so we jumped at the chance to catch up with them! The tractor themed birthday party with two blow up water slides was a huge hit with both G & C! I loved getting to chat with Catie, P's mom, while wrangling all the wet, icing covered faced kids and chatting about momma-hood and new jobs.

Another first for us came in a trip to the Nesbit Blueberry Farm where we all picked blueberries! Anna & Garrett joined us as we combed through a few rows of blueberry bushes. What a fun way to spend a Friday night! The kids both picked quite a few, though I think most of Charlotte's came from Anna's bucket! Lol! (Too bad we woke up the next morning to find that blueberries weren't the only thing we left with that night...We were all covered in chigger bites!)

The next few pics are from shooting our first home made bow, Kindermusic at the Library, Members Only Night at the Zoo (Yes, Charlotte touched that huge snake!) Saturday night side walk chalk drawings, Luke's birthday party, and fishing with friends at Mimi & Papa's house!

Who could forget our trip to the ball fields?! Gideon's recent baseball obsession took us to the city ball fields for a little Baseball 101 lesson. It was pretty funny trying to explain all of the rules of the game to a 2 & 3 year old who have absolutely no frame of reference! They may have taken off toward 3rd after hitting most of the time, but I think they'll be great ball players one day :) Those kids loved running bases too! Talk about a great nap afterwards!

Last but not least, the kid's first time seeing a live musical! Our local theatre, Desoto Family Theatre, had a student camp where they preformed the show they'd worked on, Beauty and the Beast, at the end of the week. The kids had recently watched and fallen in love with the movie, so they were ecstatic when they saw the characters preforming live! The students really did a great job! We even got to take pics with some of the stars after the show! G has been obsessed with Gaston ever since! :)
