Let's just pretend that it hasn't been two months since I've posted....We've been busy!
Homeschooling isn't something we're totally sold out on for the long haul, but I do enjoy doing projects and teaching the kids right now :) I haven't been super structured in the past, a letter a week with a craft or two...nothing special. This August I felt like we needed to kick it up a notch, so I teamed up with my long time friend, Alisha, to teach our kiddos together. One lesson per week, taking turns teaching each week. Nothing too demanding, while still introducing new topics on a consistent basis.
We have absolutely loved it so far!!
In August and September, we discussed all different types of animals, their life cycles and habitats, fire safety, community helpers, insects, healthy choices, and even cooking 101 with Mimi! Each lesson also includes fun books, crafts, songs, themed snacks, and lots of fun!
