Alright folks, in case you haven't noticed- We've got a membership and we're not afraid to use it! Ha! The Zoo has been our oasis for play dates with sweet friends and family dates when Matt's been off work. We love all the exhibits, but Gideon's favorite is definitely the Teton Trek. He's become so interested in wolves lately, so we've always got check on our four wolf friends first thing. The grizzly bears are usually really fun to watch when they are out, as well. Charlotte's favorite is a toss up between the Aquarium and seeing Sheer Khan (In case you're not up on your Jungle Book characters, that's the tiger) in the Cat House. Oh, and you'd think the carousel and farm train had candy hanging from their seats as much as they love riding them. After each visit, we're ALL ready for a good nap!
My most recent favorite memory with them was watching them feed the giraffes on our visit with Mimi. Their faces were absolutely priceless when the giraffes stuck out their long, purple tongues and wrapped them around the lettuce the kids held out!
It always amazes us how different each animal is, and how ridiculously creative God is to have thought them all up. Not just that, but the way they all rely on each other and ...this is where one of us usually bursts out in the chorus of "The Circle of Life," but I'll spare you. You get the picture. So thankful for a God who values diversity and creativity, and for the chance to see so much of it in one place.
